India's first export customer for the BrahMos supersonic anti-ship missile could be Malaysia.

India is preparing to export its BrahMos supersonic anti-ship and cruise missile, and Malaysia remains the likely first recipient. Dr A. Sivathanu Pillai, chief executive officer of BrahMos Aerospace Private Ltd., the Indian-Russian joint venture that produces the BrahMos, emphasized Malaysia’s candidacy to be that first export customer in an Oct. 4 interview, though he insisted on the use of official channels in setting up the deal.
